Dr. Andrew Gibson is a licensed psychologist (#1526) in the state of South Carolina practicing in the Greenville area. The child of a fire fighter and school nurse, he decided to pursue psychology as a way to follow his interest in science while also participating in a career that promotes the health and wellbeing of those he serves.

Dr. Gibson completed his Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with Honors at Kennesaw State University in 2009, and his Master’s in Professional Counseling at the University of Georgia in 2011. Dr. Gibson then served as a child and adolescent counselor before returning to school and completing his Doctorate in Counseling Psychology at the University of Albany, State University of New York in 2017, including an APA-Accredited internship at Clemson University’s Counseling and Psychological Services.

Throughout his training and professional career he has served in both inpatient and outpatient settings, worked with a wide variety of clientèle in both one-on-one counseling and group counseling, trained in psychoeducational assessments and evaluations for learning disorders and ADHD, published research on clinical supervision, and provided clinical supervision to other clinicians. In addition to his role as psychologist, Dr. Gibson is a dedicated husband and father. A lifelong learner, he is an avid technology enthusiast, as well as a student of mindfulness, eastern religion and philosophy, and the arts.
